The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam. Sign-ins for this event begin at 7:30 a.m.

Full Course Title: Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology in Neurologic Diseases & Disorders The Clinical Neuroscience course is offered to practicing clinicians who treat a variety of patient populations such as chronic pain, stroke, Parkinsonism etc. It provides clinicians with the neurophysiological basis of some of the clinical presentations, and more importantly how to interpret them and help them with their clinical decision making. The course also provides an opportunity for the participants to explore the structure and function of the human nervous system in the context of clinical conditions using 3D still images of the nervous system.

In this eight-week, instructor-led course, participants experience first-hand what it is like to be an online learner. Participants walk through the development process and create the core of an online course, including learning objectives, syllabus and course material for at least two complete weeks of instruction. Prerequisites: Blackboard Basics for Faculty (or waiver) and Faculty Intro to Online Teaching (or waiver).
